Rajeev Vora is a dynamic personality and a son of renowned journalist late Govindlal Vora. He is an empathetic person who always wants to improve the society mainly in terms of education by providing education to the needy in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh. Not just education but also into areas like media, industry, politics and social service which portrays his dynamism. He is always admired by his friends and companions.

The Vidhan Sabha oath taking ceremony at Chhattisgarh was held on 17th of December 2018 wherein the Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the State. MLA T.S Singh Deo was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister. Congress President Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Ex-Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Motilal Vora made their presence in the ceremony. being an all rounder personality and also the son of the great
journalist Mr. Govindlal Vora, inherited his all rounder qualities from
his father with regard to media, education, social service, and
politics. He made lot’s of efforts in improving the society primarily by
providing education to the people and making majority of people
literate enough specially in the rural areas.

Rajeev
was also seen active on Political fronts as well be it all Election
management of his brother Arun Vora or attending Congress programs. He
even participated in the ‘Sankalp Shivir’ also known as Resolution camp
which was organized by Congress Party in Delhi to boost the morale of
Congress workers, with his brother Arun Vora.

The country lost a fearless journalist, a great writer, thinker, philosopher, social worker, and educationist Govindlal Vora on 13th May 2018 at New Delhi after suffering from Pneumonia and breathing-related problems. The passion for writing and vision for working towards social upliftment, encouraged him to highlight the true picture of the society. His contributions to the journalism are immeasurable.

The six
decades of fearless and unbiased journalism has not only earned him
respect but also introduced the state of Chhattisgarh to the world.
Imagining Chhattisgarh’s journalism without his leadership is a hard nut
to crack. He was integral member of many associations working towards
the wellbeing and betterment of journalists. Govindlal Vora was the
driving force behind the foundation of Raipur Press Club. He believed
that the young journalists needed to develop strong principles and
should adopt an honest approach in covering any news, issue or event. He
wanted the journalists to meet and discuss new ideas to empower the
national journalism.
Nothing
stayed untouched by Govindlal Vora. He was the Director of the
Chhattisgarh Hindi Literature Convention. He also encouraged the
foundation of the press community at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University.
In parallel, he stayed an active member in many social institutions like
’Gram Seva Samiti’ and ‘Krishi Gaurakshini’ which operated on the
principles and visions of Mahatma Gandhi.
It
will not be overstatement to say that every aspect of society was
touched and improved by Govindlal Vora. He was a gem and his
contributions towards journalism and society are transcendental.
